WERKÖ GmbH acquires company TL-Werkzeuge GmbH as off January 1st, 2018

TL-Werkzeuge GmbH - based in Königsee-Rottenbach, Thuringia - is an excellent and flexible regrinding-service, as well as a manufacturer of special tools. For more than 25 years TL-Werkzeuge GmbH has been established in the market and is a renowned partner of its customers in the metalworking-industry.

The acquisition of TL-Werkzeuge GmbH constitutes - with the professional regrinding-service for Solid-Carbide End-Mills, -Drills and other tools - an optimal addition to Werkö‘s product portfolio. This acquisition evidently supports Werkö's strategic focus on the growing Solid-Carbide cutting tool market - in standard-tools as well as in customized solutions.

In addition to the gained know-how for professional and flexible regrinding and re-coating, Werkö is also expanding its capacities in the field of CNC grinding technology. Due to the excellent growth in recent months a necessary step and an important milestone for our further positive development. TL-Werkzeuge GmbH will continue its business as a 100% subsidiary in Königsee. All employees are taken over by Werkö.

Werkö has been manufacturing precision tools for metalworking in Königsee-Rottenbach, Thuringia for about 80 years. Since 2008, Werkö GmbH is a part of the TDC Cutting Tools Inc., based in Dalian, China. TDC has its own mines, a steel mill and is one of the largest manufacturers of HSS tools in the world.
